Will you add additional courses if a popular course fills up?
This is decided on a case-by-case basis with the Registrar’s Office and the academic department offering the course. Your UConn Student Admin account has up-to-date course offerings and availability for all Winter Intersession classes.
What is the schedule for each Winter Intersession course?
Please check your UConn Student Admin account for exact class details. The three-week classes meet daily, and the majority begin at 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.
What is the length of class time for a Winter Intersession course?
The length of a course is determined by the credit hours. The Board of Trustees has declared the length of a credit hour as 11 hours and 40 minutes. Three-credit classes meet for 3 hours daily, and four-credit classes meet for 4 hours daily.
Do Winter Intersession classes have papers, final exams, or multiple exams?
The coursework for each class depends on the individual class. The majority of courses have one final exam administered on the last class meeting.

What are the deadlines for adding or dropping Winter Intersession courses?
UConn undergraduates may add/drop classes through their Student Admin System account until the add/drop deadline dates of December 30. A class dropped after December 30 must be processed through the Registrar’s Office.
